Lois Connor - Landscapes of the Far East
Lois Connor, USA born photographer. This book features amazing photos from her far East trip to China,
Japan, Nepal with her 7x17” panoramic camera. She works with panoramic- banquet cameras of 7x17, 8x20
and 12x20 size. Many of the photographs are vertical, which is pretty impressive considering the size
and the format of the cameras she is working with.
She prints her negatives on hand coated platinum paper to get the most subtle tones. Reproductions in
this book are breath taking and some very interesting and mesmerizing locations are captured on the
long skinny film of Lois Connor.
She visited some of the spots many times under different lighting conditions to capture the perfect
mood for that particular place.
She mostly traveled on a bike loaded with a big panoramic camera, lenses, film holders and 40+ lbs of film.
This book is an amazing addition to any Ultra Large Format enthusiast or any photographer who is interested
in seeing the world of far East through the lens of Lois Connor.
