Robert Szabo is part of a Wet Plate Collodion revival movement that is
closely linked to civil war re-enactment groups. The American Civil War
was one of the first wars to have been photographed. One of his main
imaging projects is to trace the steps of the first National Park
photographers.
He he has taken his Mammoth Wet Plate camera to Yosemite
National Park several times to recreate images by 19th century
photographer Carleton Watkins. He is also available for demonstrations,
lectures and seminars.
